I am unsure, underfit, or just plain worn out. Is Pilates for me?

Yes! Pilates can be adapted to any age or fitness level. It is gentle enough for rehabilitation, yet challenging enough for the strongest of athletes. Everyone can benefit from Pilates.

The equipment looks scary.

It does! But that’s why you have a teacher and why your teacher has thousands of hours of training and years of experience. We promise to make Pilates enjoyable. Give it a few sessions and you’ll forget it ever seemed overwhelming.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that you can move easily in. Long pants that fit snugly around the ankle are best. Pilates socks are required in the studio and can be purchased online or at most sporting goods stores. Pilates hair is tricky - you will spend time laying on your back so ponytails can get uncomfortable. We recommend wearing a high bun, low pony, or braid.

How often should I do Pilates?

Because Pilates does not burn out your body and create muscle exhaustion, you can do Pilates every day if you want to. For best results, 3-4 times per week is recommended. Can only come in once or twice? No problem, do not let that deter you! You will absolutely reap benefits with fewer sessions. If you are doing Pilates as a cross training method and are active in other ways 1-2x per week is sufficient.

I don’t really feel up to working out today. Should I cancel my session?

Come anyway! The very first question we will ask you is “How is your body feeling today?” Your lesson will always be catered to what your body needs in that exact moment.

What are your studio policies?

Please wear grip socks, be on time, don’t chew gum, do your best and enjoy your session. If you need to cancel, please do so via phone or email 24 hours in advance or you will be responsible for the cost of your session. Packages expire 3 - 10 months from the date of purchase and are non-transferable.
